The Top Holiday Travel Options
Everybody needs a break sometimes. Some people like to stay close to home, going on interesting days out, while others prefer to fly to far flung destinations across the globe. The holiday travel option that you choose to get you there will depend on the destination, your starting point and how you want to get about when your there. Each option has advantages and disadvantages to consider.
When staying close to home the cheapest transportation option usually is driving, especially if you already have your own car. If you do not have a vehicle it is easy and relatively cheap to hire a car for a period of time. In both cases you also need to factor in the cost of gas for any journeys that you make. With this method of travelling there will not be many restrictions on the amount of luggage you take and you should be able to move from place to place as you see fit.
Should you not want the worry of driving somewhere unfamiliar, you could consider going by public transport. Most countries have buses and trains available although you should check timetables very carefully as they are not always reliable in some places. This is a very cheap way to get about and you will be able to relax and enjoy the view instead of worrying about traffic.
When going further afield it is usual to go by plane. Journeys can be long or short depending on where you are going to and it can be expensive, however this allows you to go to much more interesting places. Do not forget to factor in checking in times and waiting to claim your baggage along the way though.
Should you want a more relaxing way to get around you might like to go on a cruise. Although these are quite expensive, you do not have any of the waiting around that is common with flying, so it is enjoyable from the beginning. The cruise you take can be planned to take in several different destinations along the way for variety.
Try not to go for the obvious holiday travel options when planning your next break. Thinking outside the box could bring you a whole new experience that you will remember for the rest of your life.
