Cigars Although A Detriment To One’s Health Are Still Smoked

Cigars and other forms of tobacco are as addictive today as they were back when the sailors of Christopher Columbus’ crew first brought them to Europe from the New World. It is said that members of the crew first saw them being smoked by natives on the islands off of Central and South America and finding it appealing, began smoking them as well.

Cigars are manufactured in the U. S., Europe, Indonesia and Central America. While some companies have their own growing plantations, others purchase from a variety of tobacco farms. There are two primary large manufacturers in the world, but many smaller companies have been family managed for many generations.

After harvesting, tobacco leaves are dried and cured for approximately one month. The length of time depends upon what types of storage sheds are used and their climatic location as they leaves must be dried without rotting. During this time, the leaves dry and also lose sugar content. They are then fermented during which time the taste and aroma develop along with the individual burning ability.

Three different types of tobacco are used in making a cigar and all are very important. The wrapper determines the flavor and aroma. Dark wrappers have a sweeter taste than the light ones, which are dryer. Those with experience, can determine where the leaves were grown by the wrapper.

The other two types used are the filler and the binder. The binder is used when making the cigar to hold the filler together. The filler makes up most of the cigar and is of a single variety or a blend of multiple varieties allowing for a subtle difference in flavor.

Many of these products are made by hand and are often referred to as boutique cigars. The tobacco is stored in temperature and humidity controlled rooms, organized by color, size and texture. A master blender selects the leaves to be used and mixes enough of the blend for that day’s production. Rollers bunch the filler leaves into the proper shape and wrap a binder leave around it. Then placed into a wooden mold, the leaves are pressed by hand until the roller feels it has the appropriate shape. It is then passed on to the master roller, who finishes forming the product and wraps it, while checking it for any inconsistencies.

The demand for cigars is on the rise again. Even women smoke them, and there are specific blends and sizes designed with femininity in mind. But, it is also well-known that smoking is bad for one’s health. In the U. S. Where cigarette advertising must display health warnings, cigar smoking is not required to do so by current legislation. Like cigarettes though, it is illegal for minors to purchase any tobacco item including loose tobacco for self-rolling.

Cigars can be purchased at all most any corner market, convenience or grocery store. There are specialty shops that also sell other smoking products including cutters, tips, humidors, pocket and travel cases. And despite the fact that non-smoking areas continue to increase, there are cigar lounges which are now popular social clubs for smokers and non-smokers alike.

Since the time of Columbus, cigars have been a favorite choice for smokers. You can select a quality cigar for its relaxing properties.

Essential Carp Fishing Equipment

Carp fishing can be a great way to relax but, as a beginner, it can often be a little daunting knowing what equipment you will need. Read on for some handy hints and tips for when choosing your first equipment. You don’t have to spend a fortune on the equipment, but it’s worth buying better than just the cheapest option on offer as it means you’ll be able to use it even when you’re more experienced and you’re more likely to have success early on in your angling career.

The rod is the most obvious bit of equipment you need and one of the most important. The rod you’ll need depends on the type of fishing you’ll be doing. As a rule, for light carp of up to 15lb then a rod with a test curve of 2lb is plenty. If you’re looking to cast off to longer distances, go for a 3lb test curve. Medium action rods are a good idea for beginners as they’re flexible but still powerful. Many anglers have two rods, but one is fine.

A reel that matches your rod is also an essential item of equipment. A reel with a baitrunner is good as these stop any adventurous carp pulling your rod into the water by alerting you when they bite, giving you time to react and grab the rod. The reel should fit the rod well so you have good balance, although it’s a good idea to test out your chosen rod and reel together to make sure they feel right, as choosing a reel is often a personal thing.

In order to catch carp, you also need a line. A good rule to work out what kind you’ll need is to multiply the test curve of your rod by five, meaning that for a 2lb test curve, you need a 10lb line. If your line is too light then you run the risk of losing fish. For beginners, standard monofilament lines are recommended but, again, the type of line you need depends on which reel you decide to buy.

To complement the rest of your equipment, it’s worth spending a bit of money on decent hooks, as cheap ones are likely to lose fish. This is because they bend, break, or aren’t sharp enough to hook the fish in the first place. Invest in a selection of sizes from 12 to 4 to cover all eventualities. It can also be an idea to invest in some 1-3oz weights to help sink the hooks. Then all that’s left to do is buy a case to carry it all in!

Steelers Send Vikings To First Defeat Of Season

Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings are undefeated no more. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ used a couple of big plays from their defense in the fourth quarter to break open a close game and defeat the Vikings by a final score of 27-17. Favre put up decent yardage in the loss, throwing for 334 yards but had no touchdowns and an interception. The defending Superbowl Champion Steelers improved to 5-2, while the Vikings are now 6-1.

NFL pointspread players who backed the Steelers as -6 home favorites were rewarded with the cover. Pittsburgh had only covered one of their first six games heading into the contest, and the win improved their record against the number to 2-5. Minnesota dropped to 4-3 against the spread with the setback. The 44 points scored went UNDER the posted total of 46′.

The Steelers largely shut down Minnesota’s rushing game, holding Adrian Peterson to 69 yards. Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark underscored his team’s dominance against the run:

“That’s the biggest point of the game. You have the best running back in the world and you don’t give it to him. They’re saying they can’t beat us running, and that’s a major statement when you have the guy they have back there.”

Favre gave a mealy mouthed justification for the loss in his postgame interview:

“There were a lot of what ifs, a lot of reasons we didn’t win. The red zone was one of them. They’re physical, and they were as good as we thought they’d be. … When I came here and looked at our schedule and saw the Steelers game, I went, ‘Oh-h-h.’ ”

Favre has only thrown three interceptions in a Vikings’ uniform, but #3 was a costly one as it was returned by Steelers’ Keyaron Fox for a touchdown to put the game out of reach as Minnesota was driving for a potential game tying field goal. Afterwards, Fox recalled the play:

“Brett tried to force it in there and the running back bobbled it and slipped out of his hands and it fell into my lap. I had just run across the field after Peterson and I was winded, so it felt like it was 100-plus yards.”

The Vikings now face another big game next week as they head to Favre’s old stomping grounds in Green Bay for a battle with the Packers. It’ll be Favre’s first appearance at his old home in an enemy uniform. The Vikings are a +3 road underdog with the total set at 48. The Vikings will then have a bye weekend before hosting the lowly Detroit Lions on November 15. Pittsburgh will enjoy a bye week this week before returning to action on Monday, November 9th facing the Denver Broncos on the road.

The History Of Horse Racing At Del Mar

Though it is sometimes overshadowed by more famous tracks back East like Churchill downs and Belmont Park, Del Mar Racetrack in Southern California has a rich and fascinating history. Located 20 miles north of San Diego and known for its iconic slogan “Where The Surf Meets the Turf”, Del Mar has not only hosted the best horses and jockeys on the planet but a ‘who’s who’ of show biz elite.

The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club was founded in the mid’30s, and they immediately turned their attention to building a world class horse racing venue. The names that were instrumental in the creation of Del Mar include a whos who of American entertainment–most notably Bing Crosby, Oliver Hardy (of Laurel and Hardy) and Jimmy Durante. At the time the facility opened thoroughbred horse racing was the second most popular sport in America behind major league baseball, and Del Mar’s show biz roots further helped secure its place as an important stop on the racing circuit.

Additionally, the star power involved with the project also provided a trendy cachet that the tonier race courses back East lacked. Bing Crosby himself greeted patrons at the gate on opening day, and during the late’30s and early’40s it became a place to be seen for Hollywood A-listers and those who aspired for celebrity. In addition to known gambling enthusiasts like W.C. Fields, Edgar Bergen and Red Skelton, the Del Mar patrons during that time also included some of the top female stars of the era including Ava Gardner, Paulette Goddard and Dorothy Lamour.

Del Mar was the site of the’38 match race between Seabiscuit and Ligaroti. Seabiscut won the $25,000 winner take all challenge by a nose, and this race set Del Mar betting and attendance records and remains one of the most famous races in history. The racing at Del Mar continued to flourish until the start of WWII, when the track went ‘dark’ for racing.

After the war, Del Mar reopened with a bang. The track reopened the day after Japan formally surrendered to Allied forces, and on that day Del Mar attracted over 20,000 fans through its gates who wagered what at the time was a record $958,476. The postwar prosperity was also a boon to Del Mar, which also benefitted from the Santa Fe Railroads daily Racetrack Special that brought bettors down from Los Angeles to enjoy a day at the track. During the latter part of the decade a new crop of Hollywood glitterati would flock to Del Mar, including Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Mickey Rooney John Holmes, Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Durante. Durante would become such a regular that the turf course at Del Mar would later be renamed in his honor.

Even though the popularity of horse racing among the mainstream populace would ebb over the years, Del Mar remains a viable part of the thoroughbred community to this day. Theyve updated their facility, with a state of the art grand stand and most recently a synthetic polytrack surface that was installed in 2007. The racing season at Del Mar begins in mid July, and hosts crowds of 20,000+ on a daily basis throughout.

Kansas City Wins First Of Season By Beating Washington

The offensively struggling Kansas City Chiefs have finally found a way to win-play a team with a more stagnant offense than their own. The Chiefs gave Todd Haley his first win as a NFL head coach on Sunday with a—6 win over the Washington Redskins. Kansas City is now 1-5 on the NFL season, while the Redskins slumped to 2-4.

To successfully bet on NFL football you occasionally have to put aside W/L records and look at the underlying statistics. Those who did that found reason to take Kansas City as +6′ road underdogs and were rewarded with the outright victory. Kansas City is now 2-4 against the NFL pointspread and has covered two straight while Washington is a dismal 1-5 versus the money.

After the contest, Haley sounded more relieved than excited about finally putting a “W” on the board:

“We made it pretty difficult, right down to the end. We’ve pushed through a very difficult period. We needed to get some positive reinforcement with a win.”

Kansas City QB Matt Cassel also won for the first time since coming over from New England in the off season. His postgame comments were more upbeat:

“There’s been a lot of change, but this has definitely been special. We rose to the occasion. We made some big plays. We put ourselves in a position to score points.”

Embattled Redskins’ coach Jim Zorn was stripped of his offensive play calling duties by team management after the contest. In one of his last decisions in that role, he pulled starter Jason Campbell at halftime and went with Todd Collins. He explained his move as follows:

“I felt the need to create a spark on our football team offensively and went with Todd. I think the guys responded well. We kept our spark, at times, and then we refizzled.”

The Redskins have managed to win only two of their first six games despite being the only team in NFL history to play their first six games of the season against winless opponents. They’ll get another chance to silence their doubters next Monday night as they host the Philadelphia Eagles. The Skins are +6′ home underdogs with the total set at 38′. They’ll have a bye the next week and return to action on November 8th against the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome. Kansas City will try to string together back to back wins as they host the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Chicago’s Pump Room Restaurant Jumping Once Again

One of the few restaurants in the country to be immortalized in a Sinatra song, the Pump Room in Chicago is now a hot spot once again. The Pump Room was one of the first quality restaurants to open in Chicago after the end of Prohibition, and soon became a Windy City icon. In addition to Sinatra (who sang the praises of the place in the classic song Chicago), the place was a favorite hangout of a lot of famous people including Marilyn Monroe, Sammy Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Ronald Reagan, Bette Davis and numerous others. The Pump Room, named after a spa in Bath, England, remained open long after the giants that once graced its premises had left. Unfortunately, time took its toll on the legendary establishment, and its culinary fare was soon surpassed by the fine dining scene exploding in Chicago and characterized by uber-chef Charlie Trotter.

Ernie Blyfield opened the Pump Room in the Ambassador East Hotel in late’38. He took the name from an 18th century London pub favored by celebrities and nobility, including Queen Anne. The original pub got its name from the hot drinks pumped into the cocktails of its stylish clientele.

The Chicago Pump Room was a smashing success from the time it opened. It’s most desired table reserved for ‘A list’ celebrities was Booth #1, which for a time may have been the most sought after table at any dining establishment in the country. Booth #1 at various times hosted Frank Sinatra and his associates, Bogart and Bacall, Judy Garland and daughter Liza Minnelli, John Barrymore and countless others.

Blyfield died in’50, but the Pump Room remained a Chicago hot spot and hosted a new era of superstars including Mel Brooks, Beverly Sills, Paul Newman, Robert Redford. More recently, Michael J. Fox, Eddie Murphy and Mick Jagger have made appearances. A funny story involves former Genesis drummer Phil Collins, who was refused entry for not wearing a jacket. The incident was commemorated in the title of his next solo album No Jacket Required which has since sold over– million copies worldwide and launched Collins into solo superstardom. Following its release, the Pump Room sent Collins an apology”and an appropriate jacket so that the incident wouldnt be repeated.

The Pump Room experienced a revitalization in the late’90′s when it was purchased by a large restaurant management group. They spent a lot of money to renovate the facility, overhaul the menu and hire a top flight staff. While the Pump Room’s golden era trade mark flaming food served on a sword was a tragedy of city fire codes, the menu is now on par with any in the city serving a sophisticated interpretation of classic American cuisine. In addition to the revamped cuisine, the Pump Room upgraded its wine offering and expanded the bar area.

Today, current Executive Chef Nick Sutton continues the restaurant’s tradition of culinary excellence. The most amazing thing about the restaurant, however, remains the almost palpable sense of history that the dining room affords. Sitting in the same room where icons of American culture from Sinatra to Bogart held court is an intoxicating experience in itself. Chef Sutton has maintained the quality of the Pump Room’s food and service to the high level worthy of the legends that have dined there.

Motion Picture Review – The Golden Compass Falls Short Of Controversy Or Certainly Not

So even after seeing the film, I’m still left to wonder what all of the major controversy is about.

I had never read the book series that New Line Cinema is hoping to be the next Harry Potter and in the event that the motion picture is definitely an indication of what is in the future. I’m not even sure I wish to see part 2 nor 3, when they ever get it made.

I could somewhat see why the Catholic League is protesting this film, but in the end it’s a lot to do about not a very good movie.

Now what I liked about the movie, The casting of Sam Elliott as Lee Scoresby was exactly what that role required. If you notice him in the motion picture, you soon realize that he is a lot more that what he seems at first.

The particular casting of Ian McKellen as the voice of Iorek Byrnison, as an armored bear. At this moment I had no clue what a bear would do with that kind of serious armor protection, however with the voice of Sir Ian, you think he will protect the hero of the movie.

At this point I understand that this film is part 1 of the 3 part story, but the first one should have been so much better than what we were given. I had said earlier that I hadn’t read any of the novels yet but even I could tell that something just was not right nor was it making sense in the manner it was told within the motion picture, it simply seemed like way too many holes were with this film. It looks about 40-60 minutes too short.

Therefore, from what I possibly could tell if you are a huge fan from the novel then don’t see the motion picture whatsoever, you’ll leave the movie theater, very angry. For those who have young kids (10 years old or more) then this appears like it would be a good film for them to see.

Parents, it will make you frustrated. I can imagine a great movie with this motion picture, however all we get in another mess at the end of the day.

BC Lions Try To Salvage Season With CFL Win Over Saskatchewan

The BC Lions may have turned the corner after a disappointing 1-4 start to the CFL season. This past weekend, a clearly motivated Lions team defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders 35-20 to improve to 2-4 in CFL play. The Roughriders dropped to 3-3 in the early going in the CFL season.

Lions defensive end Brent Johnson said that the motivation for this game was simple:

“We were sick of losing. That was our only option – to win tonight. This was the must wins of must wins.”

Johnson led a tenacious Lions defense with three QB sacks. Overall, the BC stop unit combined for five QB sacks and three interceptions in their best performance of the CFL season.

Lions running back Martell Mallett caught one touchdown pass, ran for another and generally made himself a thorn in the side of the Riders defense all night. After the game, he praised the play of his offensive line:

“We just went out there and executed. The offensive line blocked well. I was just hitting the holes. They opened it for me and I got in it.”

BC starting QB Buck Pierce had been hearing some criticism from the Vancouver media suggesting that he lose his starting spot. His solid play in the victory may have turned down the heat for now:

“I was very proud of our offence tonight. “The way we stayed poised, the way we moved the ball. Running and throwing the ball, we were very good.”

His Saskatchewan counterpart Darian Durrant blamed the loss on his teams lack of execution and failure to capitalize on opportunities:

“It was frustrating. B.C. gave us plenty of opportunities to put more points on the board. We just didn’t capitalize.”

Despite the victory, Lions coach Wally Buono realizes that his team still has plenty of work to do:

“We have to play much better football than what we did. I saw the intensity that you need, I see the resilience and I saw some guys make some plays.”

BC will travel east to play the struggling Toronto Argonauts. Saskatchewan will head home to face the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Lyon Nips Real Madrid In Champions League Play

Jean Makoun scored early in the second half to give Lyon a hard fought 1-0 victory in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League matchup against Real Madrid. The Spanish champions lost for the third straight time on Lyon’s Stade Gerland home field and will now have an uphill battle when the teams meet at Bernabeu to advance to the next round. With the Champions League final slated to be held in their stadium, an exit this early in the competition would be nothing short of an embarrassment for Real Madrid.

Lyon controlled the play in the first half and held a decisive possession advantage. Unfortunately, they didn’t get many accurate scoring chances with a number of them going wide or high of the net. Despite Lyon’s time of possession advantage in the first half, Madrid actually got the best scoring chances in the first half. Following Makoun’s goal just 2 minutes from the start of the second half, Madrid controlled play but could not score the equalizer. For the game, Madrid held a 66% to 34% time of possession advantage. The shots on goal were even, but Madrid had the better chances despite not scoring on them.

Real Madrid has won the Champions League title 10 times, but now must rally from this 1-0 deficit when play resumes on their home field in May. Despite their tradition of success, Madrid hasn’t made it past the round of 16 for six straight years. Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t particularly worried heading into the home half of the matchup:

“In football anything is possible. We’ve lost here but we have a game at home in which we can repeat what they did here. I’m calm. In this competition you have to suffer. I’m sure that we will give a good answer in the return game and that we will win. The Bernabeu will help us. We will have to give to give it everything from the first minute until the last. The tie is not lost.”

Madrid General Director Jorge Valdano added:

“It’s been a bad night in general, especially the result. We had ups and downs during the match, but at no moment were we ourselves. The result means we have to really concentrate at the Bernabeu. Lyon barely stepped out of their half in the final minutes, but they made things very difficult for us for a long time, especially in midfield.”

Real Madrid will have to do without a couple of starters in the rematch. Marcelo and Xabi Alonso are suspending for the May contest due to bookings in previous contests. The team isn’t particularly concerned due to their deep and talented roster.

MMA Flashback: Aoki Beats JZC In Rematch

After a controversial no contest in their first matchup, there was no doubt as to the winner of the DREAM 2 rematch between Shina Aoki and JZ Calvan. Aoki controlled the fight from the opening bell and used a wide repertoire of submission attempts to keep his opponent off balance. Most impressive was Aokis dominance of the ground game, which many observers considered to be JZs edge in the contest.

Aoki scored early with a takedown and controlled Calvan on the ground, working a heel lock attempt before taking his opponents back and attempting a rear naked choke. He was never able to complete the hold, but maintained a bodylock on JZC for the rest of the round. In the second, Aoki put on a submission clinic and demonstrated his ungodly flexibility as he spun from an armbar to a triangle choke and back again. Calvan was able to counter or escape, but looked completely out of sync as he generated almost no offense whatsoever over the 15 minutes.

Aoki was very emotional in his postfight speech to the crowd. JZC had grumbled about the no-contest in their DREAM 1 matchup, and the one sided decision made him even more dejected in his postfight press interviews.

With the victory Aoki advances to the semifinals of the lightweight GP tournament. Thats the plan at least, as Aoki made some statements in the Japanese press leading up to the fight that win or lose there would be no way hed be ready for the next round with only half the preparation time as the rest of the field.

The rest of the card was devoted to the opening round of the middleweight GP tournament. Taiei Kin defeated Minowa-man Ikuhisa Minowa in a very closely contested and entertaining fight. Minowa was clearly tired in the 2nd, and that likely sealed the deal for Kin.

Korean judoka Yoon Dong-Sik also advanced with a unanimous decision victory over Shungo Oyama. Most of the damage in this fight came from Yoons ground and pound from full mount, and he controlled the tempo from the outset. Two one sided contests followed, with Zeleg Galesic submitting Magomed Sultanakhmadov via arm bar in a minute and a half of the first round. That was followed by the MMA debut of former Pac 10 wrestling standout Ian Murphy, who had a worst case scenario draw against BJJ specialist Ronaldo Jacare.

Boats Can Be A Fun Summer Recreation

Different places have different laws about if you have to have your boating licenses to drive a boat or not. Canada requires anyone operating a boat to have the pleasure craft operators card. You get this card one of three ways. You can take a classroom course, an online course, or take the test without a course. Anyone who has taken the boating safety courses does not have to take a course before they take the test. Boats are wonderful for summer recreation but they can be very dangerous if they are not driven properly so you must follow the rules.

It is wise for everyone to take the boating safety course even if they have their boating license. If you have your license or pleasure craft operator card it is not mandatory for you to take the safety course but it is a good idea. The safety course may end up saving your life when you least expect it.

Boats are used for different reasons, there are some people that use boats for water sports and some people that use them as a way to enjoy leisure fun. It really does not matter why you use a boat, if you are operating it wrong then it could be very dangerous.

You should have on a life vest any time you are on a boat. If the boat you are in flips or you have a boating accident you could be knocked unconscious and the life vest will keep you alive. You have to follow all the safety rules when you are on a boat.

You can have a lot of fun on a boat but they can be dangerous when you don’t follow all the safety rules. Before you get on a boat you should take a safety course if you do not know the safety rules of the boat. Boating safety courses are not only for boat drivers but for anyone that gets on a boat.

If children will be riding on your boat you should ask them to take a safety course. If there is a child on your boat that is not following safety rules then you should take them off of your boat right away. When you are driving a boat and someone is not following all the rules then it is wise to take them off of your boat.

You could get a citation or even have your boating licenses removed if someone on your boat is breaking the boating laws or safety rules. You should never allow alcohol on the boat because this is illegal and very unsafe. It is never safe to be drunk when you are on the water.

If you are planning on having fun on the water with your pleasure craft this summer then you may want to ask anyone who my get on the boat to take a boating course. Before setting off in your boat you may even want to go over the safety rules with your passengers.

Unleash your inner Magellan. Take a boat exam and hit the high seas. Summer is here, get a validated boat license or operator card and set sail.

NFL Flashback: Vikings Rout Cowboys In Playoffs

When legendary quarterback Brett Favre announced his return to the NFL from what has become a seemingly annual flirtation with retirement, many second guessed the Minnesota Vikings’ decision to sign “The Gunslinger”. On Sunday, Favre and the Vikings answered those critics in the best way possible-with a lopsided 34-3 beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys. Favre threw 4 touchdown passes in the victory and the Vikings’ defense sacked Dallas QB Tony Romo six times in the blowout. Minnesota will now face the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game.

NFL football betting fans also cashed tickets on the Vikings as -3 point home favorites. This was the shortest pointspread of the divisional playoff weekend and many thought that Dallas’ momentum would carry them to victory. The 37 combined points went UNDER the posted total of 45. Minnesota had gone UNDER in four of six games to conclude the regular season.

After the contest, Favre boasted that a playoff run was a large part of his motivation to return to NFL action:

“”This is what I came back for. Probably the most fatigued I got today was celebrating. I feel like I’m playing the same way. I have the same enthusiasm. As long as I’m out there, the enthusiasm and the passion that you see is real. And I know the guys feed off of that. Fans enjoy that, because it is real and genuine. Today was like this season: It’s been wonderful.”

Former South Carolina Gamecock Sidney Rice caught three of Favre’s touchdown passes:

“Same ol’ Brett. He’s doing thing he’s done since he first came in the league: moving around, getting the ball out, breaking tackles and even running down the field and throwing blocks. That just shows you how big of a heart he has.”

Head coach Brad Childress mixed up a bunch of metaphors as he took a swipe at the prognosticators who picked Dallas to win:

“The Tasmanian devils were coming from Dallas that were about to bombard the state of Minnesota and run through us like Sherman through the South. All of us felt it quite palpably.”

Cowboys’ QB didn’t have much to say in defeat:

“Any time you come in with the expectations and goals we set and don’t accomplish them, No. 1, it’s frustrating. Right now, it’s just hard to think the season is over.”

Cowboys’ head coach Wade Phillips had a similar take:

“It’s like the elevator falling from the top. It’s tough when it’s over. If you don’t win it all, you have not reached your goal.”

The Vikings will now head to New Orleans for Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Saints. Minnesota is a +3′ point road underdog with the total set at 52′. The winner will advance to the Superbowl to take on the winner of the New York Jets/Indianapolis Colts contest.
