10 Surefire Ways To Attract More Blog Subscribers – Part 1 Of 2

I’ve noticed a particular question that keeps coming up when it comes to blog marketing:

“What do I need to do to get more subscribers to my blog?”

Well, here is my point: you need to look at subscribers the same way as you do traffic to your blog. They are an essential part to your blog success.

Given that, I decided to start looking for some things that I could do to start attracting more blog subscribers.

Here are the tactics I found:

1. Make It Obvious – Make the options for your readers to subscribe to your blog obvious and noticable. And really just ask for their subscription.

2. Be Targeted – Targeting a specific niche is essential to your business. So make sure that you’re targeting the right audience. And more importantly, make sure you have enough readers in your niche to warrant writing to that niche.

3. Offer Up A Bribe To Your Readers – I’m not suggesting anything illegal, but something smart and catchy.

Here’s what I’m talking about. Since you likely have an RSS feed, and SHOULD be using a WordPress.org blog, use the “FeedVertising” plugin to create a link to a download of a free gift for subscribing. FeedVertising links only show up in the feed of your blog, not the post. So only RSS Feed subscribers will get the link to your bonus!

4. Create A Viral E-book – Partner up with a friend to have them give away your E-book or bundle it with something of theirs for sale that they already offer on their blog. The E-book will then promote your blog and get you more traffic.

5. Dedicated Subscription Landing-pages make a page that’s sole purpose is getting a subscription, and push traffic to it from your blog, articles, forums, or basically any other source you want. You will also forward it to a dedicated URL, and add in the moral bribe technique from three above to increase subscriptions.

Another point I want to make. Of all of the tips I gave you already, it’s assuming that you’re cranking out valuable content to your readers. If you can’t take a step back and say that you’re providing value to your readers, then you might want to take a closer look at what you’re doing online.

After you know that you’re providing great and valuable content to your readers, if you use even ONE of the suggestions I listed above, you will definitely see an increase in your subscriber count!

What you just finished reading is the first half of my Top 10 strategies to attract more blog subscribers.

Remember, blogging is a person oriented method. You need to be writing content for human readers, not the search engines. If that’s the route you choose to go, you’ll find success.

It’s humans that provide your site with the links, spreading your content like a virus, providing feedback, leaving comments, and networking.

If you miss out on that part of the formula, you will lose in this game.

Here’s a bit of advice that I’d like you to consider:

Learning how to attract more blog subscribers is by far a powerful strategy to use in creating a loyal following of blog subscribers, and helps to further brand you.
