Giani Inspirations Jewelry & Its Famous Founder
This discussion describes the reader through the founding of the GI label franchise and its meteoric ascension to the peak of the gothic industry.
Peter Giani was born and raised in Leningrad, Russia; known today as St Petersburg. Being a young boy in the cultural capital of ancient Russia known for its gothic, intricate architecture & medieval beauty had a deep impact on the creativite instincts of the young artist.
Even as a child, the budding artist had always been a cut above the rest, & had his own distinct style & taste. Having harbored a deep interest in art ever since the age of five, drawing and sketching on any writing surface he could get hold of. He decided to fulfil his desire to be an artist, and enrolled with the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. After his admission into the prestigious institution, he thrived in the field of oil canvas. As a student, he prepared his own canvases, mixed his own pastels, and painted impactful works of art, which did not escape the notice of teachers, peers & artists alike.
Giani saw greater possibilities for growth & recognition abroad, & decided to move to America, where he began working for small time jewelry companies handling minor work in LA, California.
Upon learning the ropes, he began to create his own works of art reflecting his personal style and flair. He took the jump, left his jobs and decided to set up his own shop and build his own brand.
While working in a intensively competitive gothic jewelry industry, Giani seeks to be the authority on what he refers to as -”Art of Charms”. A great number of his works consist of intricately crafted charms in various themes & designs. His most valued & popular works of art however, are his recent models in sterling silver gothic jewelry. His recent line of jewelry known as Dreams In Africa (DIA), reflecting the heart & soul of African culture is his personal favorite.
Giani has built alliances with some of the most expert designers and manufacturers of today, & has done diverse work for famous brand name gothic designers. He has learned from every mistake, gleaned experience from every accomplishment, and has mustered these tools of knowledge into his creative arsenal. Aside from his ability to mentally image multi dimensional objects, his “inspirations” have turned into masterful pieces. His jewelry is favored by many celebrities, such as Sylvester Stallone.
Why Replicas And Fakes Are Rising In Popularity
In recent times, the Giani brand has faced adversity from several offshore competitors possessing the talent, resources & ability to offer equally detailed, stunning and expertly crafted luxury gothic silver jewelry to bikers and other fans at a fraction of its prices. Today, fans are given an extensive range of alternatives to original jewelry, and as such, they are wising up to the ugly truth behind branding, which is truly no more than an illusion.
Brand is not something which customers will always be willing to pay for. Given the widespread affordability of cheaper & equally intricate offerings, it is no surprise that luxury label jewelry is not an uncommon sight on the streets despite the luxury brand pricing of the original. The new, streetwise sentiment is: why bust the bank on designer label jewelry when one could easily get a nearly identical piece made from the same best quality 925 sterling silver at a miniscule fraction of the price?
However, in buying alternatives in the form of fakes or similarly styled inspired designs, it is important to first know the grade of jewelry you are buying. Giani Inspirations Jewelry competitors range from top quality alternatives & close replicas by bona fide jewelers to mass-producing bootleggers mass produced poorly made imitations made from low-grade metals such as steel and copper.

‘Hung’ sash windows are a very popular choice for use on most homes and have been for hundreds of years. The name comes from the fact that these windows contain panels (called ’sashes’)that hold the glass panes in place. At least one of these panels will be movable, allowing the window to be opened and closed.
Some hung windows contain only one movable panal (sash) but most will have two. These panels most commonly open from top to bottom (vertically) but can also be made to operate in a sideways fashion (horizontally). The glass used in these units has traditionally been single-paned but recently double-pane and even triple-pane configurations have been available. When properly installed, extra panes give better insulation and efficiency.
Movement of the sometimes heavy sash(es) is usually facilitated through the use of a pulley/counter-weight system. Weights hidden within the window frame act as a counter-balance making it possible to open and close the window without too much effort. If your windows are difficult (or impossible) to open this may be a simple problem with the counter-weight system and is easily remedied.
In some designs, hinges are installed which can hold the movable sash in place while simultaneously disengaging it from the counter-balancing weight. This makes cleaning the unit easier and can also make an emergency escape through the window quicker and easier. Also, some designs forego the use of weights and pulleys, opting instead for a system of spring balances.
If both sashes are capable of moving this is known as a double-hung window (as opposed to single-hung, if only one moves). Traditionally made from wood, these units are now commonly made from other materials (including vinyl, which has become quite popular). Vinyl (PVC) windows are usually cheaper to buy than wood and are currently a widely used option for both new construction and old window replacement.
Speaking of replacement, owners of older homes are often faced with the decision of replacing or repairing existing windows that have become inefficient or nonworking. If possible, repair is usually advisable to replacement. It’s cheaper, generally looks better and can be made to be nearly just as energy efficient.
If you live in an area where window replacement is restricted or your home happens to be ‘listed’ your options are limited. Plastic windows are no doubt taboo. Anyway, the original ones will always LOOK better, especially if you have them professionally reconditioned. They can actually be made to be BETTER than new!

Jets’ Rookie QB Sanchez Suffering From Minor Knee Ailment
New York Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez has been a crucial factor in the teams 2-0 start, showing a poise and head for the game very rare for NFL newcomers. Still, there wasn’t much worry at the revelation that hes suffering from tendinitis in his right knee. The Jets announced Sanchez’s injury on Thursday, and hes listed as probable on the official NFL injury report. Based on comments from the quarterback and team officials, the prognosis sounds more optimistic than that.
Sanchez practiced on Thursday, and though he was seen stopping to stretch and rub his right knee on a few occasions didn’t seem to suffer any impairment in his mobility. He participated in the entire practice, and there didn’t appear to be any sort of effort to prepare Kellen Clemens to assume the starting role.
Jets head coach Rex Ryan confirmed the injury while downplaying its significance:
“It’s not that big a deal. He has something. I don’t know how to describe it than just to say its a little tendinitis. But, he’s fine. I mean, he fully participated and moved around great, I thought.”
Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was even more emphatic in his statement:
“Mark’s totally fine.”
Ryan then added a sarcastic note that brought laughs from the assembled media: “Make sure he’s on that list. I don’t mean anything by that.”
Ryan was referring to the Jets receiving a fine from the NFL for not properly disclosing injuries to then-QB Brett Favre late last season. Favre was suffering from a torn biceps tendon, though the team didnt list him on the official NFL injury report. The team was fined $75,000 while GM Mike Tannenbaum and former coach Eric Mangini were each fined $25,000 each. While he wasn’t with the team at the time of the incident, Ryan has expressed his displeasure with the fine.
The Jets are less optimistic about the condition of cornerback Donald Strickland, who is suffering from a sprained right ankle. Ryan didnt offer much basis for hope that hed be able to see action on Sunday:
“I don’t think he’s going to be able to play this week. I’m not declaring him out right now, but I don’t think there’s any way he’s playing this week.”
The Jets host the Tennessee Titans at the Meadowlands this Sunday afternoon. New York has been installed as a -1 home favorite, with the total set at 37. The Jets have won five of the last nine meetings between the teams straight up, though Tennessee holds a narrow 5-4 advantage against the spread. After that, the Jets will take to the road for their next two games. Theyll play the New Orleans Saints on October 4th before heading to south Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins the following Monday night.

The Green Bay Packers used 21 second quarter points and three Aaron Rodgers touchdown passes to easily dispatch the punchless Cleveland Browns 31-3 on Sunday. Rodgers threw two of his three touchdowns during the second quarter onslaught, adding a fourth quarter tally for good measure. Ryan Grant added–8 yards of rushing and a touchdown in the victory, in which the Packers dominated the statistical battle. Green Bay improved their 2009 NFL record to 4-2, while Cleveland slumped to 1-6.
NFL football betting enthusiasts who laid the -8′ with Green Bay as road favorites cashed their tickets with the lopsided victory. Green Bay improved to 4-2 against the NFL pointspread while the Browns dropped to 3-4 against the number. The 34 points scored went UNDER the posted total of 41′.
The Packers upped their intensity early in the game, after quarterback Aaron Rodgers was punched in the face during a scrum. He recounts what happened next:
“One of the linemen came over and said, ‘Who was it? We got your back. That means a lot to me and that means a lot to our team.”
David Bowens was the perpetrator, though he insisted he was simply playing hard:
“I was just trying to grab anything I had. It wasn’t malicious, I was just trying to get a stop. I apologized to him for it. He can call it what he wants to call it, but the refs didn’t call it. I’d treat him different if he was passing the ball, that’s different. But if he’s running the ball, he’s a running back. It’s called football.”
Browns’ quarterback Derek Anderson lamented his team’s struggles in postgame comments:
“We aren’t good right now. That’s it. Period. We haven’t executed. We haven’t done the right things to win ballgames. We haven’t run the ball effectively, thrown it where we needed to. We haven’t protected up front like we need to and caught it when we need to.”
Head coach Eric Mangini sounded a similar tone:
“It’s a very disappointing performance across the board. I don’t think we played very well. I don’t think we coached very well. I thought we were making progress in a lot of areas. I don’t think we showed that today — at all.”
The Packers now face a big game next Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings which will feature Brett Favre’s first return to Green Bay in a visiting uniform. The Packers are a -3 home favorite with the total set at 48. They’ll face the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers the following week before hosting the Dallas Cowboys on November 15. Cleveland will travel to Chicago for a game against the Bears next week, with the Browns installed as a +13′ road underdog and the total set at 40′.

Colts Hammer Woeful Rams
Peyton Manning was unable to tie a NFL record with his sixth straight 300 yard game , but the Indianapolis Colts remained undefeated by ripping the lowly St. Louis Rams 42-6 at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday. Manning amassed 235 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions as the Colts made short work of the winless Rams. St. Louis quarterback Marc Bulger continued to struggle, with–0 yards passing, two interceptions and no touchdowns. The Colts are now 6-0 on the NFL season, while the Rams are 0-7.
NFL betting devotees who backed Indy as -14 road favorites easily won their bets as the Colts improved to 5-1 against the spread. After dropping their first game of the year to the number, Indy has run off five straight pointspread covers. The Chiefs dropped to 2-5 against the spread with the setback. The 48 points scored went OVER the posted total of 45.
After the game, Colts’ coach Jim Caldwell praised his quarterback:
“He functions pretty well within the system. He does a great job leading our team and being a field general. I don’t think he reached 300 yards, but nevertheless he was very effective.”
As has become his form, Manning deflected the praise onto his offensive line:
“I really appreciate the protection I’ve been getting. It’s something I don’t take for granted.”
Indianapolis tight end Dallas Clark gave kudos to the Indy fans that made the trip to St. Louis to support the team:
“We had a great following today. It was outstanding. When we were introduced it felt like a home game.”
Rams’ running back Steven Jackson sounded like a man out of answers:
“We have to learn to put four good quarters together. We don’t know how to win a game right now.”
The Colts will return home next Sunday to face a potentially tricky game against the San Francisco 49ers. They’ll remain at home for the following two games, hosting the Houston Texans the following week and the New England Patriots on November 15th. St. Louis will take on another one of the NFL’s bottom feeders next Sunday, playing on the road against the Detroit Lions. The game is currently off the board while the Lions’ quarterback injuries get sorted out. The Rams will have a much needed bye week after that before returning to action on November 15th as they host the New Orleans Saints.

According to the old saying time heals all wounds. In the fight game, money”or the potential of it”has the same curative effect. The latest evidence of this is the announcement that Tito Ortiz has patched things up with Dana White and agreed to a new contract to fight in the UFC. Tito left the promotion over a year ago after an acrimonious split with White, though never found a new promotional home that would give him the money and the high profile status that he craved.
Ortiz has had several run ins with the UFC over their notoriously tight pay structure, and first left the promotion in 2005. He was back later that year for a run as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter against longtime rival Ken Shamrock. After losing to current light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in his last UFC appearance, he left the company and bounced around in a promotional capacity. He had surgery on his back in the process, and now claims that hes back to 100%.
Tito may never regain his championship form as a fighter, but that is of minimal relevance due to one salient fact”people will pay to see him fight. Dana White evoked the same theme in his comments on Ortiz at a Friday press conference in Las Vegas:
“Tito and I have a history that everyone knows. He’s still a guy that everyone wants to see fight. He said his back has healed perfectly and he’s ready to take a shot at the title. He’s one of those guys that people love and people love to hate. We’ve put all our differences aside, have squashed everything and will move forward, and Tito will retire in the UFC.”
To which Ortiz responded:
“Time really cures everything. Dana was a man of his word. Dana apologized to me. We’re like boyfriend and girlfriend.”
Ortiz said that Dana White and UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta came to his home in Huntington Beach, California and made him an offer he couldn’t turn down:
“I’m happy, I’m satisfied, You’ll never hear anything about money again.
While neither Ortiz nor White would speculate on a timetable for his debut or his first opponents, sources suggest that he could debut on the UFCs New Years card against Mark Coleman. Coleman is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Stephan Bonnar at UFC 100 in mid July.
Though he may be past his prime as a fighter, Tito Ortiz is a star. Some love him, some hate him but people pay to watch him fight. That dynamic is money in the bank to a fight promoter.

MMA Pioneer Helio Gracie Remembered
The founding father of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and patriarch of the Gracie family, Helio Gracie, died in early 2009 at the age of 95. His influence in martial arts as well as the sport of mixed martial arts is mind boggling. The Gracie family name will forever be synonymous with Brazilian sports, jiu-jitsu, MMA and the UFC–not only due to Helios own accomplishments but the legacy he created both by training others and through his family.
Helio Gracie began his training in mixed martial arts early, and by his teenage years was already teaching judo. While he had no problem mastering the theoretical aspects of judo, he found that many of its techniques were less effective for a practitioner with a smaller build. Along with his brother Carlos, Gracie began to work out his own fighting system by adapting many of judo’s techniques and making them more a product of leverage rather than brute strength. This led to the creation of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), frequently called Gracie Jiu Jitsu in his honor.
Gracie also had a professional fighting career of his own, taking on champions from other fighting disciplines in an early version of modern MMA. These bouts were arduous, unregulated affairs with arbitrary rules and no time limits. By his own recollection, Gracie fought 15 times against the top opponents of his time. He began his career in’32 by submitting professional boxer Antonio Portugal in just 32 seconds. Later that year, he fought American catch wrestler Frank Ebert to a draw after the ringside doctor ordered the bout stopped after an ungodly fourteen ten minute rounds.
His most famous battle was against Japanese judo legend Masahiko Kimura, resulting in a rare loss for Gracie. Despite the setback, he fought bravely and may have actually enhanced his legend after refusing to submit to a reverse arm bar (the same modern MMA submission that now bears Kimuras name). Only after his arm was broken did his brother Carlos throw in the towel.
Gracie’s greatest impact, however, may have been through his progeny which is an important part of Brazilian sports and mixed martial arts even today. Royce Gracie is well known as the first UFC superstar, while sons Rickson Royler, Renzo have also achieved considerable fame in professional MMA. At the time of his death, Helio Gracie was a 6th Dan Judo black belt and the only living 10th degree master of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The cause of Gracies death was officially given as natural causes. He had been having stomach problems for several days prior to his passing, and was admitted to a Rio hospital for this reason. His seriously epic last words will go down as a fitting envoi to a man who gave so much of himself to fighting:
“I created a flag from the sports dignity. I oversee the name of my family with affection and nerves of blood.

The oldest fight sport adage in the world is ’styles make fights’. For that reason, no one knew quite what to expect in Saturday’s WEC Interim Lightweight Championship battle between Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson. Henderson was known for his dominating wrestling skills, while Cerrone has a reputation as a punishing striker. Instead of being a clash of styles, however, it was an instance where the differing approaches of the two competitors complimented each other perfectly. The result was a ‘fight of the year’ candidate bout that Henderson won by a narrow-yet unanimous-decision.
Henderson opened the fight with a takedown, but quickly got caught in a guillotine choke attempt. He extricated himself from this predicament only to find himself in a triangle choke that appeared for a moment to be a potential fight ending submission. That would not be the case, however, and Henderson would take control in the last half of the round with his powerful takedowns and ‘ground and pound’ punching assault. The almost even first round would prove to be the decisive frame of the fight.
Rounds two and three were all Henderson, as he took Cerrone down almost at will and began to pummel him on the ground. Cerrone managed a couple of submission attempts from the bottom, and did what he could to keep Henderson off of him with upkicks but nowhere near enough to salvage either round. At times, Cerrone looked downright clueless as to what tactical approach to take.
The tide would turn again in the fourth round, as Cerrone began to time Henderson’s takedown attempts. He became much more difficult to get to the ground, as well as administering punishment of his own after stuffing takedowns with punches and knee strikes. Later in the frame, Cerrone came close to ending the fight when he locked in a nasty and unorthodox choke that WEC commentator Frank Mir described as ‘almost an inverted rear naked choke’. After some tense moments, Henderson was able to escape. Cerrone would also control the final round, evading Henderson’s takedowns while scoring with his striking. He had another potential fight ending submission attempt in the fifth round, as he locked in an arm bar and appeared to have good leverage as he twisted Henderson’s arm into a nasty angle.
The decision itself was somewhat surprising, with Henderson winning all three judges’ scorecards by identical 48-47 scores. He’d clearly won rounds two and three, while Cerrone was the obvious winner of rounds four and five. This meant that all three judges had given the edge to Henderson in the first round, favoring his takedowns and ground punching attack over Cerrone’s two early submission attempts. (The Savage Science scored the fight 48-47 for Cerrone).
Henderson will now face WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner to unify the titles. Varner entered the cage after the decision was announced to ‘cut a promo’ on the winner, and suggested the fight take place in December in Phoenix, Arizona though neither the date nor venue has been finalized. Varner was originally scheduled to face Cerrone, however he had to pull out of the scheduled fight due to injury.

We show a lot of interest in building a home and also we make large plans for interior decoration, design and floor plan etc. Floor plan is one of the significant things to be taken care off as this is the one that displays the inner beauty of the home. We make use of various methods for the flooring and also we wish to have exclusive flooring for each and every room.
We desire our home to be the best and we add the best exterior looks to it. Similarly the flooring must be done rightly and it should match the rooms color and shade. Plan it in a perfect way as the flooring once laid is a bit complicated to replace for the next time. The flooring should be done in an arranged manner where it should start from the opening of the home.
The visitors are seated in the living room so it is important to give priority for the living room. It is significant to make use of the best sheets for flooring. The next priority is the kitchen and a special care must be taken here as there would be lots of stains here. It is most significant to make use of the right flooring as some stains are hard to clean. The flooring in the bedroom also should feature a pleasing look as we spend a lot of time relaxing here.
The Karndean Flooring and the Wood Flooring are the best ones in flooring in comparison to the various floorings. The Karndean flooring is a vinyl flooring that features planks in different styles. It offers a number of designs in this and these designs are generally slate, stone and timber.
The Karndean flooring can be laid on all surfaces and it is also a unique one. Before laying this seek the suggestion from an expert regarding the materials and requirements of the floor. Are you currently shocked when you see your household expenses on a monthly basis? The costs appear to increase each and every month. If you’re in this situation, try these five recommendations before your additional costs build up to a significant amount!
1. Recycling all those useless letters.
On a monthly basis, you will likely receive a dozen or even more letters from direct mailing businesses inside your mailbox. A few of these letters are printed on one side only. Gather these letters and combine them into a writing pad. You can even use them to print draft documents. Apart from saving money, you’re also saving lots of trees.
2. Use a water save kit in your toilet.
Whenever flushing the potty, the quantity of water used is oftentimes more than is required. By putting in a water saving kit in the cistern, the amount of water saved can be as much as three gallons monthly.
3. Use the enthusiast
Anytime you can, make use of the fan. The air conditioner is really a major contributor to your utility bill. By using the fan, not only are you saving on your power bill, you happen to be also building up your body’s ability to tolerate heat. Your odds of getting heat exhaustion or heat stroke throughout the hot summer season are greatly reduced.
4. Don’t throw away that old bar of soap yet.
Because your wash your hands with soap on a daily basis, the bar will end up smaller and smaller until it is almost useless. As opposed to throwing it away, simply stick the old bar of soap on to the brand new one. Just make sure both of them are wet when sticking them together.
5. Slice the tube of tooth paste into half.
When you are able no longer squeeze out any tooth paste from the tube, just slice it in-half. There’s some more toothpaste left which could last you for two days for those who have a large family. If you reside alone or with your spouse only, the extra tooth paste can last up to five days or even more.
Begin cultivating these useful habits right now and make them a part of your everyday life. You will be pleasantly pleased when you notice your home expense start to decline bit by bit in the future.
Some companies suggest that these loans can help you pay off your bills and so establish good credit. There is no point in beating yourself up over your credit score. Save money by taking advantage of student discounts or student life. Credit Restoration And Education

A Detailed Overview And Preview Of CB ProfitStorm
A while back, someone at a forum posted a special offer to its members. It was a brand new product called CB Profit Storm.
The reviews for this offer were pretty good, so I decided to go for it and ordered myself a copy of the course. The product was instantly delivered and I started dwelling in that same evening.
The guy behind this amazing system is Andrew MacLeod. A newcomer in the internet marketing world. He states that he has been making money on the internet in the last 18 months or so, using the exact same system he reveals in the course.
Seriously, I was a bit skeptical at first. There are so many scammy programs out there and I’ve never quite understood why you would want to share your method if it’s already working. However, after seeing Andrews’s system in action, I understood that it really doesn’t matter much. He has a fully automated income of over 16000 dollars and it since it’s on autopilot, the money will keep rolling in, if he shares it or not.
Anyway, Andrew has chosen to share his stuff and I for one is thankful for that. Even though I see myself as somewhat experienced internet marketer, I learned a lot of new stuff from his course. So, without further ado, let’s look at the product, shall we…
Okay… Clickbank Profit Storm is all about how to make money blogging. A bunch of money. When you order your copy, you get some pdf’s and a lot of videos. The videos are actually case studies that’ll show you exactly what Andrew do to make the kind of money he does.
But that’s not all… No Andrew takes CB Profit Storm one step further and even show you exactly how you can maximize your business by outsourcing everything. He’ll show you where to get the best deals and exactly how to hire your staff… You see, the fact is that if you want to make it big in the online world, at some point you need to take things to the next level and start hiring some people to do all the boring stuff.
Now, obviously, just because he shows you how to outsource, it doesn’t mean that you’ll HAVE to do so. If you’re just starting out, it’d probably be a good idea to do the tasks yourself. You’ll get the nuts and bolts in the CB profit system and Andrew will show you how to do everything yourself as well.
Now, before you go out there and get CB Profit Storm, you should search for a good CB Profit Storm Bonus.

Falcons Top Panthers Behind Matt Ryan’s Big Day
The Atlanta Falcons are off to a fast start this season, and on Sunday used a potent offensive attack to top the Carolina Panthers 28-20 at the Georgia Dome. QB Matt Ryan threw a career high three touchdown passes, including one to his new favorite receiver Tony Gonzalez. The attack was well balanced, thanks in large part to running back Michael Turner who ran for 105 yards and a touchdown.
NFL football betting devotees who invested in the Falcons as -6 home favorites were rewarded with the pointspread cover. The Falcons have won and covered both games this season for a 2-0 record both straight up and against the spread. The Panthers, meanwhile, have dropped both of their 2009 contests straight up and to the number. The 48 combined points scored went OVER the posted total of 42.
In his first two games in a Falcons uniform the future Hall of Famer tight end Gonzalez has 12 catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Gonzalez wanted out of Kansas City to play for a contender, and hes found himself on a talented young Falcons team with a QB that already appears destined for superstardom.
Gonzalez admitted that he was happy with how things have transpired thus far:
“Not a bad start at all. It’s just great to be part of a team like this.”
Gonzalezs biggest fan may be the guy charged with getting him the ball on Sundays. Quarterback Matt Ryan was full of compliments for his tight end in his postgame comments:
“He’s one of the greatest tight ends of all time. That was a huge pickup for us. He makes big plays for us in different situations when we need him. I’ve enjoyed playing with him thus far.”
Despite the loss, Carolinas Jake Delhomme was relieved to put the horrible performance of the opening week behind him. Delhomme threw four interceptions and lost a fumble in the Panthers loss to Philadelphia, but this week only gave up one interception during a late game rally attempt:
“It couldn’t be any worse than last week. I felt good out there today. Last week, I put too much pressure on myself. This week, I got back to being just plain Jake.”
The Panthers will head to Dallas for a game against the Cowboys next Monday night. Carolina is a +9 road underdog in that contest with the total set at 46. Theyll enjoy a bye week before returning to action at home against the Washington Redskins on October 11th. Atlanta has a pair of tough road games on the docket, beginning this weekend against the New England Patriots at Foxboro, Massachusetts. The Falcons have been installed as +4 road underdogs with the total set at 44. Theyll have a week off before a game that doesnt look quite so easy any more, heading cross country to play the resurgent San Francisco 49ers on October 11th.

When legendary quarterback Brett Favre announced his return to the NFL from what has become a seemingly annual flirtation with retirement, many second guessed the Minnesota Vikings’ decision to sign “The Gunslinger”. On Sunday, Favre and the Vikings answered those critics in the best way possible-with a lopsided 34-3 beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys. Favre threw 4 touchdown passes in the victory and the Vikings’ defense sacked Dallas QB Tony Romo six times in the blowout. Minnesota will now face the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game.
NFL football betting fans also cashed tickets on the Vikings as -3 point home favorites. This was the shortest pointspread of the divisional playoff weekend and many thought that Dallas’ momentum would carry them to victory. The 37 combined points went UNDER the posted total of 45. Minnesota had gone UNDER in four of six games to conclude the regular season.
After the contest, Favre boasted that a playoff run was a large part of his motivation to return to NFL action:
“”This is what I came back for. Probably the most fatigued I got today was celebrating. I feel like I’m playing the same way. I have the same enthusiasm. As long as I’m out there, the enthusiasm and the passion that you see is real. And I know the guys feed off of that. Fans enjoy that, because it is real and genuine. Today was like this season: It’s been wonderful.”
Former South Carolina Gamecock Sidney Rice caught three of Favre’s touchdown passes:
“Same ol’ Brett. He’s doing thing he’s done since he first came in the league: moving around, getting the ball out, breaking tackles and even running down the field and throwing blocks. That just shows you how big of a heart he has.”
Head coach Brad Childress mixed up a bunch of metaphors as he took a swipe at the prognosticators who picked Dallas to win:
“The Tasmanian devils were coming from Dallas that were about to bombard the state of Minnesota and run through us like Sherman through the South. All of us felt it quite palpably.”
Cowboys’ QB didn’t have much to say in defeat:
“Any time you come in with the expectations and goals we set and don’t accomplish them, No. 1, it’s frustrating. Right now, it’s just hard to think the season is over.”
Cowboys’ head coach Wade Phillips had a similar take:
“It’s like the elevator falling from the top. It’s tough when it’s over. If you don’t win it all, you have not reached your goal.”
The Vikings will now head to New Orleans for Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Saints. Minnesota is a +3′ point road underdog with the total set at 52′. The winner will advance to the Superbowl to take on the winner of the New York Jets/Indianapolis Colts contest.
